YOU ASK.. WE PROVIDE

Before I begin, a quick moment for Paul Newman who died this morning. We reference movies a bunch on this blog, so figured it was ok to mention. Not only was he a damn good actor but donated tons of money to charity. Feel free to weigh in with favorite Paul Newman movies. GMAN, what ya got for us?

Moving on, you have written and we have read and now we are blogging. You want a place to talk Mets today, well, here ya go. Turn on the game, type in Mike and the Mad Blog, get some sort of nourishment, tacos, sausage, tacos and sausage, whatever works, and comment away.

As I have mentioned, I now root with Mike in my head, with his phrases swirling around my mind. It's very unfortunate. As we head into the pre-game period, here are the Mike phrases that are running in my head. Which Mike phrases are you hearing? What do you think he would say about the Santana on short rest? What about Russo?

Mets fan, Yankees fan, Phillies fan, Albert Pujols fan, taco fan, you are all welcome. Bring the wit, the snark, the opinion, the creativity (feel free to write a jingle for this blog), and away we go...

This whole idea that the mets have to pitch johan on 3 days rest is rediculous!

How is Johan looking today..i see the Mets have a 2-0 lead..The sad part about this is that Johan will not go nine innings and as soon as he comes out which he will have to shortly the Marlins will jump all over that bullpen..

77 pitches 2 hits 3 BB 5 K through 5 innings. Got out of a bases loaded jam last inning. Offense should have more runs though.

Thanks a lot kbilly..

The only problem w/ Johan pitching a gem like he is, is that all five and a half of the Francesa show will be dedicated to Johan's gem on short rest..

Big spot for Johan. Man on 2nd top 9. Uggla at the plate.

Does anyone think that CG shutout will propel Johan to the NL CY young cuz i think it may have..

If we are only going by 2nd halfs, CC would take it in a close one. Johan has been great all year, only to lose like 10 games to the pen. He should have 23-25 wins instead of 17.

I don't know about the CY Young but that performance certainly guaranteed him a place on Mets Classics.

Great Job Johan!!! It was awesome to see the fans so into the game!

Now it's time to cheer for the Cubs!

We live another day!

And Fatso will keep playing the win/win scenario. He would relish a Mets collapse but also needs the Mets in the playoffs to have talk fodder for his lame ass show.

Yea, tune into Johanograpy Monday at 1pm on YES..

Gotta go with The Sting as favorite Paul Newman movie.

So are we all in agreement that Mike is secretly happy today?
