BREAKING NEWS

Wow. I just took a glance at the new poll I posted this morning about which show you prefer - Mike'd Up or Mad Dog Unleashed and Mike'd Up is holding a commanding lead at this point. What gives? What happened to the anti-Francesa faction? Is everyone really just closet Francesa lovers? Are you all feeling a bit sympathetic because Mike has been portrayed unfairly in the media? I am all for voting for the show you like, but I am just a bit taken aback at all the support Mike has gotten so far. Too early to predict a winner just yet...

Surprise, surprise! What the hell do you expect when your constant bias against Francesa has turned the few readers you have against you? Let the listeners have their own opinion and stop trying to bash Francesa at every moment you get. You don't like him, we get it. Stop blogging and listening if it bothers you so much. The numbers speak for themselves.

Yeah this surprises me too. I wrote to you guys inquiring about the daily poll rseults on the solo Chris v solo Mike days before the split....I'm pretty sure the "atrocious" votes for Mike greatly outnumbered those for Dog.

Did Bill from Hauppauge somehow rig this poll?

Bill.... from Hauppauge said...

No I did not. But as I have been saying, Dog is not relevent to us. In the end what we want to New York sports.

Mike may be pompous, but he's calmer. The Dog is irrational---Mushnick got him in the Post today when he called Jeter's Yankee Stadium hit record meaningless, but then said to Joe Torre it was a great accomplishment.

And, like Howard Stern, being on Sirius Radio means nothing. Does any critic write about shows that are on satellite radio? No.

To quote Russo himself: "Nobody cares."

I miss the duo, but I am not going to buy Sirius XM radio when I have Francesa and Kay to listen to for free.

It sounds like Francesa is going to get a sidekick, but will still be the star of the show, ala Kay and Don LaGreca.

Great interview with Ari Fleischer about Bush throwing out the 1st pitch in the 01 WS

Like Fleischer revealing that there were 7 umpires, with the 7th actually being a Secret Service agent.

Yeah I was just joking Bill....Johnny- The argument about him being on Sirius has no bearing here. The poll asks "Which show would you rather listen to" - while I def don't have Sirius and don't have a code to listen on the internet (how do you get one? you have to pay I take it?) I would def rather listen to Dog. Just totally fed up with Mike's unrivaled pomposity. In fact I've been missing the blog recently because I don't listen to "Francesa on the FAN / Mike'd Up" - but like you I'm not rushing out to get Sirus/XM either

Which show was the Fleischer interview on? Mike or Chris?

Sounds like a good spot

It looks as if Dog has closed the gap and when it is all said and done Dog will have a greater percentage of the votes..It just takes time.

I don't think it necessary to paint all of us with one brush. You are perhaps mistaking the target audience of the FAN or 1050 with the people that congregrate here. Sure, there are overlapping interests, but it is not necessarily the case that they come here for the same reasons they tune in.

I, for instance, live in the south and hate New York sports. First and foremost, this blog is about Mike Fatcesa and Chris 'Mad Dog' Russo. Sure, the authors have certain editorial proclivities (i.e. dauntless scrutiny of Mike's every sin of commission and omission) but the real gratuitous and incendiary commentary (ie referring constantly and reflexively to fatcesa as 'fatcesa'), the meat-and-potatoes in-the-trenches yeoman's work of good-natured vitriol if you will, is generally left to the fans of the site with only a tacit nod from M&MB proper.

When FTLT said "we try to keep it respectful", I took that to mean 1. We don't condone ad hominem attacks against each other and we keep Mike's family out of it, for example 2. That said, we like to SAY that we try to keep it respectful, and longtime readers know where we really draw the line

Anyone know why the other site took down its link(s) to Sid Rosenberg's show? Was it cancelled because his station was fed up with him constantly talking about wanting to return to New York? Or did that site finally decide to stop sucking up to him?

I would have posted this question there, but if you're not one of 5 posters talking about the Mets, writing "LOL" or asking where the other 5 posters are, they tend to panic. Especially on the subject of Sid.

Stop shilling for votes.

Yeah, I gotta say, this blog is waaay too hard on Francesca. I'll drive home, enjoy Mike a ton and then read how bad it was on here. Take it easy.
