Mark Bavaro From A Dark Hallway

Anyone on YES watching the interview with Mikey and Mark Bavaro? Bavaro is appearing live from...what looks to be a dark corner of the YES studios. Seriously, someone turn the lights on. This is bizarre. Why not just do a typical phone interview? The fact that he is sitting in the darkened portion of the studio just looks very bizarre. Day One of Mic'd Up = Not so good.

It's very odd. And this interview is boring as can be. I'm not even paying attention (studying for a quiz tomorrow), but I did laugh because I read this post as soon as Mike said something along the lines of, "What turned the light on for you?"

God this is boring.

Wow, I don't know how long this show is going to last. It is beyond boooooooring.

I've changed it now, let me know when the interview is over.

yea likewise....i fucking cant believe you come back from a vacation and have an interview like this with the season just two days away...and i hate the Mets but id much rather hear about their pennant race than Mark Bavaro..Chernoff is cutting his wrist right now..

good point NBT.... Mets in the thick of a pennant race but we listen to a novel written by a retired tight end that's been off the scene for the last 15 years. Wow, Francessa is not going to last long alone.

HAHAHA! Are one of you guys calling him right now? He just got called out for a boring interview and how his ideas make no sense. And LMAO @ Mike calling him a jackass. So much for "gracious host" Mike Francesa...

Heyman,

I think Cashman will stay

I think Sabathia wants to stay in the NL

I think

I think

I think

What does the man KNOW?

The long pause from Mike at the beginning of the interview said it all. This spot is a waste of time and money. And I happen to think Cashman is going to leave.

what is fatso's beef (no pun intended) with the mets expanding their rosters. EVERY team does it. but hes got a problem when the mets bring up a few relievers? maybe if the yanks were still in it they would do the same thing!

How bout that fat prick come up with his own jingle, instead of ripping the people who actually spend time trying to make this show better than the worst show on the airways right now...

PS
At four thirty the first mention of your beloved Mets folks..

I think he was just tweaking the Met fan there. I don't have a problem with it, especially when your pen is struggling and your closer, who isn't that great to begin with, may be done for the year. You gotta find someone somehow who can get outs, and throwing guys in there that the league hasn't seen before isn't a bad idea.

As for the Yankees, they haven't called up many because some don't deserve it and also because they want their minor leagues to look good by doing well in the playoffs. But Aceves and Coke looked good in their first appearances. They've got little upside, but Aceves is trying to make a case to be a starter in the future for the Yanks.

I'm casting my ATROCIOUS vote now. Nothing could save the show.I still say you should add another level, below atrocious

I wonder why he dismissed the idea of having a contest for the jingle. Aside from the fact he can conduct a contest for shit, that's how Stephen A. Smith found his opening jingle and I think the guy who did it went on to do other openers for ESPN radio. That's the way I'd do it.
