MONDAY SHOW OPEN: WHAT WE HAVE LEARNED

Mike's dislike of the new intro doesn't matter. Mike is confused on the name of the show since he called it Francesa on the Fan and Mike'd Up. Week One of the NFL was epic. The balance of the power in the AFC has changed in the first week of the NFL. The NFL rolled the dice on the Browns. Losing Tom Brady hurts the NFL. Mike likes Tom Brady. The Pats are not going anywhere this year. The AFC picture changed overnight. We learned that Mike doesn't wear orange makeup for the radio. Jets should win the division. Favre has a swagger. It's right there for the Jets.

Essentially we have learned: The Jets are great, the Browns are terrible, the NFL is dead, the AFC is wide open.
Finally we have learned that Mike Francesa really needs a co-host.

What we have learned is that he wants to get jet calls in all in all he just wants to talk more and more about how he felt about week 1.

Be fair. This is what Mike is good at---nuts and bolts of sports talk. With no NFL games and baseball in the malaise that was late August, that is not Mike's forte. But, today is above average, and that's better than most talkies around.
