TUESDAY'S SHOW

Tuesday we are going to be unable to blog for the day...So, we turn things over to you. That means you Kbilly. You Loki. You JD. You Nextbesthing. You wtsherman. And all the rest of the Anonymous souls out there. Use this post as a means to discuss anything that goes down on Tuesday's show. I have a feeling it might start with talk of a certain New York baseball team playing "tightly." You might hear Mike hint that he thinks the Mets need to unload Jose Reyes if they don't make the playoffs. You will hear talk of a collapse. You'll hear about the Phillies and all the gamers they have. You probably won't hear much about how Mike predicted a very close game between the Jets and Chargers. No. You won't hear much of that at all. But whatever you do hear, blog about it. Think of yourselves as a band of John Minko's, keeping all the loyal fans out there updated all afternoon.

You want me to do your job? I am done with Mike. Plus, I work in finance, so I am waiting to get laid off. I can give some Dog highlights here and there, but that's it.

lol looks like kbilly is the one on his knees now...anyway, I will make sure to do my duty and keep all you Loki-readers up to date on what's going on in my (Mike's) life.

Censorship on the other site. If you post there, be sure to kiss Sid Rosenberg's butt, or your thread will be deleted. That won't happen here, will it?

Snarf,

It's all good here. You can do whatever you want, except be a huge prick. So far no one has really abused the freedom. It's like we're in a September 10th halcyon in this piece. We even have a house troll named loki, and he's perhaps my favorite poster.

Maybe, in our trusteeship for tomorrow's show, this thread will set the comments record for this blog.

I was disappointed - I'm sure you all were - with the Fatcesa-esque indolence of our intrepid leaders who we've come to rely upon for the daily framing of the M&MD debate. FTLT, Lt. Sam, Gman - what is this, August? Did you guys just go thirds on a pony?

Anyway, did anyone catch today when Mike, in a desperate and failed attempt to make his show seem relevant, attempted to compare Bernie Williams and Beltran? He brought it up to summarize the Yankee Stadium pomp and tease the upcoming Bernie spot.

He was talking about Bernie's characterstics as a player and then he blurted out "He's kinda like Beltran out there." He then proceeded, in clumsy blabbering, to unpack this assertion in a way that underminded it every turn. Bernie = Beltran. Except Bernie was not nearly as fast, nor did he have the same arm. Bernie was clutch in the post-season and Beltran hasn't really showed that in New York yet, although the jury is still out and Beltran had that one great year with Houston, but Bernie was tremendous during the Yankee run. He could field, too, but he didn't have Beltran's range. etc, etc.

It might not have been the poorest comparison ever formed (although I've never thought of Bernie as Beltran's prototype), but it's formulation was egregious, even for the senescent Fatcesa.

Damn, show just started and Mike is already erupting all over the Mets!

I'm worried:

We need to get someone in there and check Mikes blood pressure!

The way he is going off a non listener might actually believe that Mike is an upset Met fan and that he really is'nt enjoying this collapse.

That poll is fixed. Every time Mad dog's show gets close, in a matter of minutes, Francesa's show explodes with new votes. Is someone really that desperate for something to do that they would figure out a way to vote multiple times for Mike?

Yeah there is no way that anyone who actually listens to both Unleashed and Mic'd up could prefer Mike, the guy is awful. Terrible job.

He is 2 football fields away from anybody else in salary though so.

I agree. Voting has to be fixed.

And not that many people even know about this vote so obviously something is up...

Phillies have gamers, Mets don't. Heard that again today. Mike complained today that while waiting to watch Favre and Mangini last night postgame he didn't need Adam Schein yelling at 1:30 AM. Also Mike asked Eddie and Sal what shows they watch on television, with Mike then telling us no one watched TV anymore, and Mike watches no shows, but does browse through the pages of People Magazine from time to time, probably when he is on the can.

Obviously I fixed the voting...who else would want to sabotage something like that?

I listened briefly about an hour ago and heard Mike talking about primetime TV. "I could block out that 8-11 primetime area and not be able to name a show in it. That's how bad TVs gotten after the Sopranos." Typical Mike argument - thinking something about himself translates to all other people

Not fighting for network TV here just thought this was vintage Francesa
