WHAT WE HAVE LEARNED TODAY

We have learned that the Mets don't wany any part of this fight right now. We have learned that Mike can't make Wright and Beltran the Met culprits right now. We have learned that Wright and Beltran can't buy a hit in a big spot (I thought we weren't making them the culprits). We have learned that the Phillies have gamers and the Mets do not. We have learned that the Mets don't know how to run the bases. We have learned that Mike is angry...uh, make that happy. We have learned that the manager has his hands full. We have learned that the Silent September might become a Silent October. We have learned that the Mets are tight. Not tight like Mike and Chris used to be. The other kind of tight. We have learned that the question for the day for Met fans is "does your team want any part of the Mets fight?" What we have not learned yet is whether or not Mike will launch into another defensive rant today about the lack of coverage he has received.

In the words of my good friend Tony Soprano.."lets put all our fucking cards on the table here" (Season 1, ep 13 when Dr. Melfi suggests his mom is trying to kill him). Mike we know that deep down inside u really dont want the Mets in the playoffs, u loved to see them choke as u so eloquently put it, it will give you sort of validation about the Yanks. A met collapse will only give u maybe an hour and a half solid radio then what. Your only outlet is a Heyman spot talking about the winter meetings and the off season w/ the Yanks and Mets..

But this is why he wants them in b/c he will have nothing to talk about for five and a half. There is only so much Jets and Giants stuff to last you 27 hours of radio per week. Now if the Mets are done and he cant be "New York centric" he will have to talk about something other than things that go on in New York. Newsflash Fatcesa your partner has already begun to spread his wings nationally why u cant get off the ground. If you think Dog has an huge following right now, lets see how fast everyone who unfortunately stayed behind to listen to you start to chase that train. So u better pray for the Mets to make the playoffs b/c they wont be the only thing that will have collapsed (ur show).

A message for Chris Russo:

OK we understand that you now have a national audience and are trying to talk about more than just the Yankees and Mets. However, when you do find yourself talking about the Yankees or the Mets, you don't have to apologize to the god damn truck driver in Lincoln, Nebraska EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!!!

At any given moment there is, at most, two truck drivers going through Lincoln, Nebraska that may happen to be listening to your show, yet you act as if there is an entire line of trucks in that city listening to your show. What is this obsession with Lincoln, Nebraska!!

If I hear you say Lincoln, Nebraska one more time, I swear to God I will switch back to Francesa.

Dog opened up with Brewers/Cubs, but went right into the Mets. Today is for Mets/Phillies/Brewers, not for Nebraska/Kansas State. He'll do hours on Nebraska/Oklahoma, but not today.
