Jerry Manuel Report

Now that we are through 9 segments with Linda Cohn, we are about 40 minutes away from the Jerry Manuel report. In that time, Mike will likely take 2-3 calls, talk about his kids' first day at school, mention that Obama has gotten himself in trouble and do some Yankees play-by-play. But when he does get to Jerry, let's predict some of the things that will happen:

- How many questions will Mike ask Jerry that have already been answered in the papers this week?
- How many times will Jerry Manuel laugh?
- How many times will Mike answer the question that he asks Jerry before letting Manuel respond?
- How many times will Mike ask Manuel a question he has already asked him this season ("Jerry, do you think you need to make the playoffs to get a contract?")
- How many times will Mike preface a Carlos Delgado question with "Jerry, we all thought he was done..."

MIKE, FATSO - SDSU lost to Cal-Poly SAN LUIS OBISBO, NOT Pomona - what kind of an unprepared idiot (and staff) repeat the same mistake for over a week, multiple times a day - by the way, you suck -

First example at 4:30PM...

Mike: How about Stokes. Are you willing to put him in the deeper part of the pool here?

Jerry: Yeah, that’s what I’ve been doing..

I think the over/under should be: How many times will Jerry Manuel say: "No question"
I think he's at about 10 right now.

example 2:

Mike: What’s a cushion in your mind, 4 games, 5 games, I know no amount is a cushion?

Jerry: No amount is a cushion.

I love that the big draw in the Playoffs this year is going to be Joe Torre. Speaking only for myself, managers, and especially those who take power naps on the bench during the playoffs, remind me that there's only one October.

the German insurance company is Allianz. It was in the Daily News about a week ago, and it sounds like a done deal. If Mike didn't want ink on his fingers, he might know this.

KBilly said...

It is pronounced Alliance you fat fuck!

I am way behind on the Tivo, but have a submission for the "what we have learned" section.

At about 2:02 PM, Mike informed us that "he THINKS they like football in the state of Tennessee".

I wonder what clued him in? Could it be the 105,000 people all dressed up in organe that show up in Knoxville every week.

Joe Torre's charity dinner is the best in New York...Until Tom Coughlin has his dinner, when that becomes the best.

I got Freud on the other line:
Joe called his horse a "hearse".

ps. One thing I can agree with Joe on is: if you like people and food, do not move to LA.

If you like Pizza and bagels, never move to L.A.

Has Mike come out and said he thinks Delgado has been juicing yet? It seems like he's been hinting at it.

Hank,

No, Fatcesa pleading ignorance as to the cause of Delgado's resurgence. He actually posed the possibility of steroids but said he did not believe Carlos was juicing. Next, he said he wasn't sure if Delgado was hurt earlier in the year, and if so, should not have been in the lineup.

He then wondered if maybe Delgado quit on Willie, ultimately saying something like "Maybe, a little bit. A little bit, maybe. A little bit."

I'm not sure if elsewhere he has hinted at steroids, but that's what he said around 4:00 o'clock today.

I think he has been juicing...but maybe i just hate the Mets. Its probably the latter.

Well Gentlement,

I see the boys at mikefrancesa.com are looking for a new site logo. Any ideas?

I was thinking of one of those characters from Revenge of the Nerds on his knees servicing Mike Francesa, but that is just a first stab.

it,s amazing that this shill makes the money he does!! Not just him but almost all the on air idiots on this station and have the sponsorship they. SO he is making it, MIKED UP!! they way he sounds all the time he talks, sounds like he is constipated to me and should call it, "GASSED UP"!!.

TheNextBestThing1 said...

The name should be "Hyped Up", Fatcesa on the Fan...

There was an old episode of "King of the Hill" where Hank wandered into his friend's son's room and there was a scrawny, deathly pale, zit-faced geek typing away at his computer. That kid should be their logo.

Delgado juicing? As Bobby Valentine responded to Barry Bonds steroids implication, 'does he shoot them in his eyes?' And how did the juice work for Delgado the first part of the season? Does steroids help you ignore boos?
