MIKE TALKING RAYS BASEBALL

“Now Tampa is long gone. Kudos to them. I was dead wrong. I never even thought they would last into the race in August and they’ve just run away and hid. They’ve run away and hid from everybody. They now have the best record in baseball, which is hard to fathom. And raise your hands if you thought Tampa was gonna win the most games in the major leagues this year. I mean, they’ve done an incredible job. The Red Sox can still be had..”

I do love how Mike, after praising Tampa, continues to insist the Red Sox can still be had. I mean, the Yanks have really showed us a lot faith that they can catch Boston, haven't they?

Holy Moley, Mikey reading the golf course pamphlet -

"Lets do the ratings!"

and did he just say the show is syndicated world-wide on the FAN? where can you get it outside of NY (not counting the internet)?

And that surprises who??

But, yeah, hes right. As sucky as the yanks are, they play the sox well, and the sox are FAR from a great team.

Yep, FAN's in trouble. I stopped listening in the morning and will now stop listening in the afternoon. They'll probably lose the Mets contract too.

I think Mike is having trouble with all the publicity Mad Dog is getting - will never fully puncture his huge ego, but I think it bothers him.

I'm still listening, but that $12.95 is getting easier and easier to justify.

Today's show stinks. All I keep yearing about is how nice it is in Paramus. Has Mike even mentioned the Giants game on Monday night this week?

we are going to need an additional choice below "Atrocious" when rating the show

Mike's newest man-crush: Stuart Appleby

I haven't been listening straight through but it feels like I've checked back 3 times and he's still on

This is the most boring radio show show, ever. Mike solo = awfulness.

Trevor Immelman who won the Masters this year on with Mike. How does Mike start the conversation? "Trevor Immelman who is number 20 on the list...Trevor what are your thoughts on the FedEx Cup?" That's nice, Mike . Reduce this year's Green Jacket winner to a number on a list that most people don't even know exists.

Mike never seemed to be a fan of remotes---Doggie did all the work and carried Mike for the ride.

I, too, tried to listen to the FAN today---are Evan and Joe the best show on what has become a lousy station?

Mike needs Dog. Dog is getting a pass right now because he is not on, but we know Dog does some prep work before entering the studio, and Dog will prep hard for his new show because he HAS more to prove. Mike just got fat. A new 5 year deal, likely a generous buyout if the ratings go south, so he may continue to mail things in.

I was always appalled at how little prep wor both did. Both Dog and Mike would go through the newspapers as they were doing the show! YES really exposed them.

"Can you get me the box score of last night's game."

By 1:00 that should have been done. It's not like the 6 AM shows where you have to go to bed at 10 and miss a lot of the night's action.

My prediction is that sooner or later, WFAN will force Mike to take on a permanent partner. Sid Rosenberg is coming back.
