WHAT WE HAVE LEARNED TODAY

We have learned that Mike was not happy with the Met outfielders today. We have learned that today’s loss is one that knocks you to the ground. We have learned that Omahh has to go out and get someone for the bullpen. We have learned that Mike has not a clue who that person is. We have learned that Mike wouldn’t watch the Olympic opening ceremonies if they were held in his backyard. We have learned his buddies from NBC couldn’t call him fast enough to tell him the Friday night Olympic rating. We have learned that rating was a 21. We have learned that Padraig Harrington is the world’s second best golfer. We have learned which holes he birdied yesterday. We have learned that Mike has Springsteen news. We have learned that news is that Springsteen will play at the Super Bowl (most of us who use the internet already knew this). We have learned that Mike has a life, unlike his partner Chris Russo. We have learned he was taking a shot at Dog. We have learned again that his buddies at NBC couldn’t call him fast enough to report the Olympic ratings. We have learned that Mike saw the opening ceremonies on one of those big screen TV’s while waiting for a table at a restaurant. We have learned that Mike thought the ceremony looked visibly entertaining. We have learned he should have used the word “visually.” We have learned that Mike said "The Yankees WILL make the playoffs." What we have not learned yet, as of 6:15PM, is what Mike Francesa thinks about the fact that it is August and the Tampa Rays are nine up in the loss column over the Yanks.
