JOBA GETS HURT WHICH PROVES MIKE WAS RIGHT ALL ALONG

THIS IS WHAT MIKE JUST SAID ABOUT JOBA CHAMBERLAIN...

"All of the sudden i don't hear everyone yelling about how great the Yankee bullpen is. A couple of weeks ago that's all i heard was how great the Yankee bullpen is. Now i don't hear that anymore.

Now Joba is hurt. Part of being a starting pitcher is what, durability? Anyone bring that into the dance. Durability is part of it too. Some people are not durable enough to be a starting pitcher."

TO ME, THESE ARE THE COMMENTS THAT MAKE MIKE UNBEARABLE. Basically his point here is that Joba is hurt which proves that they were wrong to make him a starter. You actually have to be durable to be a reliever as well and Joba, if you remember Mike was a starter throughout his entire career up until last year. Mike is clearly unhappy that the Joba to the starting rotation decision worked and so he is not only going to cry about it but use this injury as a chance to prove that he was right all along.

Francesca is brilliant in that he doesn't allow his own contradictions and a simple thing like THE FACTS ever get in his way. And why should he..

HE SLEEPS 100 Yards away from some of the finest horses in Saratoga, who are trained to win Triple Crown races. So don't think for a second that we are going to call in, wave some facts and make him nervous.

The funny thing about the Joba "durability" issue is this: 2 days after Joba was put on the DL, he said he felt fine, mentioning how it was strictly precautionary that he was shut down and he wasn't concerned because he was still throwing at his normal velocity. It's called protecting a 23 year old future superstar, fatso. When he blows teams away in the playoffs in the future, I don't want to hear you sing his praises. In fact, hopefully you won't be around on NY sports talk radio anymore. I won't need to hear you eat crow, I'll know you were wrong. I already do. Unless he has a SERIOUS history of injury or a career-threatening injury, guys with the kind of stuff as this guy are not wasted in the bullpen.

This guy is the total package. He's not yet refined, but he's shown he knows pitch selection as well as how to leave something in the tank for later innings. As long as he stays healthy (hence his immediate trip to the DL), this guy gives every indication that he can be the next Roy Halladay at worst.

Unless this ton of lard EVER MENTIONED Joba's durability being a concern BEFORE the injury, he is playing Monday morning QB, and that AS CLOSE AS THIS ASSHOLE WILL EVER COME TO PLAYING ANY SPORTS FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE......which, really, can be HOW long?
