DOG VS FRANCESA

'MAD DOG' JOINS SIRIUS XM RADIO
It will revolutionize how you listen to sports talk when Chris 'Mad Dog' Russo is unleashed beginning September 15!

Chris Russo’s loyal fan base will be amped up to hear him back on the air with The Mad Dog Sports Show on SIRIUS Ch. 123, weekdays from 2 pm - 7 pm ET. And newcomers to the Mad Dog experience will feed off of his high-energy passion and in-your-face approach to sports talk. Plus, Russo will soon surround himself with other like-minded sports personalities when he creates Mad Dog Radio, the ultimate destination to get breaking news and high-profile interviews, or get in the game yourself by talking sports with a national audience.

That means that Doggie will essentially be going head to head with Mr. Francesa, minus the first hour. So loyal Mike and the Mad Blog fans, who are you going to listen to?

I agree. If they were both on free radio, it would be Dog without a doubt. Or maybe if there was some way to subscribe only to his station for a lot lower cost. But I'm not going to get a subscription to the whole thing just for him.

I like both Mike and Chris, but I will be listening to Sirius. The commercial radio is being strangled by endless commercials. There is a 5 minute break at the 20's to allow for a 20/20 flash and at the 30 after 2pm to allow WWOR (albany syndicate) for a news break. That is easily 20-25 minutes an HOUR. Compare that with something like Scott Farrel Show, on Howard 101. The breaks occur twice, at the top of the hour and at the 30 min. mark, Maybe 5 mins each. That leaves a solid 50 minutes of all of the tennis that Dog wants to discuss.

anon#2, great point. I remember years ago when a caller told Mike and Chris that he timed the actual amount of time that Mike and Chris were on the air in one hour and it was around 20 minutes. Mike didn't dispute it and admitted that there were a lot of commercials. And of course he realized that they pay his salary.
Does Doggy get to take Cars for Kids to Sirius?

Doggie on CNBC after this commercial... Just did a preview of him sitting by camera and he said a few words. Looks like Kramer after falling asleep on the roof with the butter all over him

Now that Dog is on satellite radio, he can swear. Who knows, he might even say "hiney" or, if he's really feeling loosey-goosey, he can say "hell."

I think Dog is very anti-swearing, so we shall see. But also will be interesting to see Mike react to the official news of Dog today

Dog should have done a website and sold ads off it, or something, satellite is a shitty and expensive format, Stern's audience is massively reduced as a result, forget about Dog's, he is a goner but will have the cash to wipe his tears with...quick prediction: 'they' find a 'free-way' to get Dog on the air, because he keeps publicly complaining on his show how no one listens to him, due to his aforementioned idiotic decision.

Does anybody know, when Russo's new show starts on the 15th, will we be able to listen to him on line at sirius.com?
