Mike Meets with Jets Hierarchy
Mike revealed in today's open that he met with the Jets hierarchy last week and talked about Brett Favre to the Jets. Is there a more arrogant person out there than Francesa? He met with Jets hierarcy...jeez. He constantly refers to his conversations with Omahh. Yesterday, he mentioned how he was talking to a GM about the difficult trade market. He loves to act as if he is a true insider. But anyway, Mike is carrying on about how the Jet beat reporters were talking about "how outlandish" it was for Favre to become a Jet and how Mike couldn't understand that idea. Yet last week a caller asked Mike about the chance of Favre going to the Jets and Mike dismissed it saying there was no chance. But after his "meeting with Jets hierarchy" he all of a sudden has changed his tune. He just always has to act as if he is involved in every management inner circle discussion. I mean, would it really shock anyone to tune in one day and hear Francesa declare "So I talked to some sources in the Greek government and there's a real feeling there that the Parthenon needs some updating..."

Was there a real listener who believed 'the GM' was anyone but Omar??? I think not.
Give Mikey credit...he never slips up and later says something like, "Well when I was talking to O-this GM, he said..."
I was actually hoping he would quote "the GM" by indicating that "The GM said to me, 'Michael'..." THAT would have cinched the deal for sure, given how Omar refers to Mikey as Mike's mom did.
David...absolutely was Omar. And Mike did sort of give it away b/c he went right into saying it was a team looking for a corner outfielder and dealing with Pittsburgh. And then later he said the mets won't part with Fernando martinez or Jonathan Niese. Here's the thing: mike would never know the name Niese unless someone told him...
Wow, how damn funny is it watching this guy pretend he knows what Lenny is talking about???

3. Youre right. Mike is LOST when Dykstra is throughing out the financial terms. But Mike fancies himself a FINANCIAL GURU, like he does with movies, books, history, etc.
4. Mike will NOW have wet dreams about Lenny Dykstra, because if there is ONE thing that emasculates him more than athletes, its rich guys (well, guys richer than him)

OT: but, did anyone else hear Mike blow his load over nate mclouth when he was talking to sweeney? i think he even said mclouth has flowing blond hair...and said he'd love to see him play CF for the yanks for the next ten years....make sure you download the audio from the site....
Anon -- That McLouth thing was weird, especially describing his blond locks. I'm starting to wonder about Mike; is "Roe" French for "Beard"?
