EDDIE.. CAN YOU PLAY THE AUDIO OF STERLING DIPPING HIS FINGER INTO THE ICE CREAM?

A prize (well not really, but a lot of positive comments on the blog) for the person to come up with their own version of a Sterling home run call that would work with this article from Page Six below... You know that Chris would want to play this one...

FINGER-DIPPING PLAY-BY-PLAY

July 9, 2008 --
YANKEES radio announcer John Sterling is being called out for foul behavior in the stadium's press dining room. "Sterling has made a habit of walking over to the dessert table and dipping his finger into the ice cream barrel," one stadium worker told us, adding that the play-by-play vet has also used the same tablespoon to repeatedly take samples. During the Boston series, "He wandered over to the cake and pie section, broke off a piece of a cake slice, ate it and wiped his grimy hands on the linen tablecloth, leaving the remainder of the slice for someone else to eat - which indeed happened," our spy continued. A rep for WCBS Radio declined to comment, and a team spokesman said the Yankees "know nothing about it."

It'll be a 2-1 to the right hand...CUUUUT ON AND MISSED...[long silence as Suzyn has dissapeared]...The Yankees serving up some Cookies and Cream tonight, the 2-2 is low, ball 3...and uhh the count now 3 and 2. Now the left hand is up in the on-deck circle, and listen to his crowd! The 3-2 is OUTSIDE BALL 4, AND THE LEFT HAND WILL COME TO THE PLATE WITH A CHANCE TO WIN FOR THE CHOCOLATE CAKE

Suzyn reappears: All they need John is one new spoon and they're back in the W column
[long pause]

Sterling: Thheeeee spoon is HIT WAY BACK IN RIGHT CENTER, A WAY BACK, IT IS HIGH, IT IS FAR, IT IS GONE!!! INTO THE GARBAGE CAN!! HAVE YOUR CAKE AND EAT IT TOO!

well done brian. i was trying to think of a Sterling classic call like an A Bomb from A Rod that would work with this. And Falk, just go back to doing whatever it is you do.
