Why do we hate mikefrancesa.com so much?

After posting a thread yesterday on mikefrancesa.com
which mentions Mike and the Mad Blog, Gman26's thread
was taken down and his IP address banned from the site.
First Time had a little talk with him to sort through
the heavyhanded tactics of their website.

FIRST TIME
Why do you hate them so much?

GMAN26
They beat up on a weakling, and that's all they did.
The rest is just smokefilled internet cafe crap.
They tortured and tormented a weaker website.
They didn't like other competing blogs. And they
so banned my IP address. And why? Because I can't
type very fast.

FIRST TIME
It's alright. We've been working 20 hour days for
three and a half weeks straight trying to make this
blog work. Take the night off. Go see your wife, see
your daughters and son. Sam, do whatever it is you do
when you're not here.

Gman, sometimes people are afraid of new things. I mean, just take a look at Carlos Delgado's comments about possibly being platooned and he is none too happy with that idea. So the folks over at Mikefrancesa.com obviously feel a bit threatened by our presence, just as Delgado does by the mere thought of Damian Easley stealing some of his at bats. We are new, fresh and insightful. But to ban your IP address, perhaps we have caused some major ripples over there. Instead of embracing each other and what each site brings to the table, they have turned to Taliban-esque maneuvers by banning you from their site. And Away We Go.

Not to paint all the guys on the other site with the same brush, but they spend a lot of time complimenting each other (and themselves) for how funny and clever they are, when the majority of what they write is about Mike's weight and his accent. True, Mike isn't a very likeable guy, but that's the point -- there's so much more to get on him about; a juvenile cheap shot isn't exactly clever.

I saw that they banned the thread you started for this site, but they also kicked you out altogether? That's pathetic. Especially the way they mercilessly suck up to Sid Rosenberg, who only posts there when he has something to promote, but they act like it's a blessing from the Pope, and delete any posts to the contrary.

Let me guess.

Fan of Aaron Sorkin?
