Again, as i asked last night, why am i listening to the two of them talk about this topic? Why is this on a sports radio station? Once again, when i listen to WFAN i ask for sports. When i watch CNN, i want politics and news. I don't go to CNN for sports and I don't go to WFAN for politics.
There has to be a way that we can make this stop. Someone please suggest something
Quick note on Eddie C: he has at 2:13 pm failed his audition. The man just agrees too much. He simply suffers from being nice. He's a nice guy and he just agrees with Mike, which equals boring radio.
Mike, you want to know what you can learn from the debates, you can watch and see how two people who don't agree with one another the whole can be at times compelling. Get someone in the booth that actually has some muscle.

Eddie C, is just happy hes there. Its like going to the playoffs and being swept, but just happy you made it. He has no balls, and its just a parrot for Francesa. And i do agree the hell w/ the politics.
NBT
Yeah Eddie really is too happy all the time. He has yet to disagree with Mike or smile at everything he says. I think calling him a parrot with no balls is going too far, but I mean they haven't even been on for two hours yet, so give it time.
You knew Mike was going to bring up politics today. He talked about it yesterday and discussed splitting his viewing between the debate and the playoff games. Really not a big deal.
Hannah Montana? The Jonas Brothers?? Can we get back to the VP Debate?
Anybody in for the first time would tend to be agreeable. You would have to give anyone time, except maybe for people that already are hosts, such as Roberts, who did a nice job in short spot.
Eddie is likeable, but brings little to the table. Now, I wouldn't listen if the show was Mike arguiing with a Stern-wannabe douche like Sid or a whiny punk like Evan, but this show has no juice. I guess I just want Dog back.
NBT, can you tell me what Carton said about Mike this morning?
Thx.
How about Mike from Monclair in the studio?
Mike is retarded...He keeps saying Youkilis is 28 (cause of his invidious equation of him and Wright) even though he'll be 30 in a few months. "Pawjols", 28 not 29 as Mike says, is in a league of his own who put up "scary" numbers somehow has no chance in Mike's book for MVP. Lastly, Mike is stunned Chipper OPSed over 1.000...news flash, dummy
when is bill o'reilly's audition? between the two of them, there surely wont be any dead air. then again, theyd prob end up cutting each other off and not letting the interviewer answer any questions. which is kind of like the shows that they both have seperately right now.
oh wells.
Lemieux- i have no idea what he said i was trying to find out from someone here on this blog..
NBT
Classic.
Mike goes to break proudly brandishing this bit of esoterica:
"Chipper Jones misses the highest batting avg. for a switch hitter, one point behind Mickey Mantle - who didn't even win the batting title that year. He was actually beat out by Ted Williams who at the age of 40 hit .377! We're back [i inserted we're back because i hate it so much]."
Okay fair enough, interesting nugget. Except he then comes back from the break hilariously less cocksure:
"Was it .388? Was he 39 years old that year? Okay."
Now I don't care if a broadcaster gets a picayune thing like this wrong, but it is just so characteristic of Mike to smarmily hold that trivia over Eddie C.'s head and then completely screw the pooch. Now, with Fatcesa we've got a guy who can deliver in the clutch
Don't Any of you guys listen to Dog? It is actually pretty good going back and forth, especialy the last couple of days as they are talking about the same stuff.
Very good radio over on Micheal Kaye. He really pasted Joe Torre. Never did like him or hide the fact.
I'm on Dog. We should trach both Mike and Dogs NFL picks and post them head-to-head.
Now Kaye is killing the Mets because they won't let Minaya come on his show. Pretty spunkie!
I was listening to Kay rant about Torre. At least he acknowledged Torre's strengths in keeping all those Yankee egos in line.
That's a crack staff he has there -- he was discussing with a caller whether Bobby Valentine should come back to the Mets about 15 minutes after the FAN (Heyman, of all people) announced Manuel was coming back.
Heyman DOES tend to break that stuuf first
For the life of me I don't understand why you guys continue to listen to Mike.
You need to start listening to Mad Dog:
If you don't want to buy xm or sirius radio for your car then go to XMRADIO.com and sign up for a free trial. Then after that it's only 4.99$ a month (6 months) to listen online.
Stop wasting your time listening to Fatso. His days are numbered.
Go for Russo.
PLEASE!
You guys are smarter than this!
Dog's NFL picks:
Ravens +3
Cardinals -1
Eagles -5
Sourshoes on Dog right now singing springsteen as John Sterling and Suzy Waldman in duet fashion...
I guess the show sucked the rest of the day, or all day for that matter i guess i didnt miss anything..

The truth comes out!
Francesca admitted that Wright doesn't like him because of the Delgado "curtain call" from the beginning of the year. Wright thinks Mike started rumors that he (Wright) told Delgado not to go out for a curtain call.
So Francesca wants Wright shipped out over a miscommunication about a curtain call...
Where did u hear or read that?
NBT
He said so on the show when he was talking to Eddie C.
He said something like "wright doesn't like me anyway because of the whole delgado non-curtain call fiasco in the beginning of the year."
Did anyone else hear it, maybe someone else can can provide a more accurate quote.
I remember when the delgado non-curtain call happened, MMD were all over Wright saying "it looked like Wright told Delgado not to go out for it." and then Wright denied that is what he told Delgado.
Facing Will Ohman in the seventh, Delgado pounded a slider off the right-field scoreboard that gave the Mets their final margin of victory. But when the fans attempted to salute him, Delgado wanted no part of it. Though it appeared David Wright may have said something to Delgado in the dugout that influenced Delgado's decision, the third baseman denied having any role in the snub.
"He makes his own decisions," Wright said. "He said his answer, so whatever he says I'm behind 100 percent. I was talking to him because it's good to see him hit a couple of home runs and bat in a couple of runs."

MMD insisted that Wright told Delgado not to go out for the curtain call when it happened.
Looks like Wright is pissed off at MMD for that and Mike backfires by trying to turn the fans against Wright and ship him out of town.
Ah-ha...here we go.
Apparently Wright refused to go on MMD after this...
"I guess there are some great lip readers," Wright said, after refusing to appear on "Mike and the Mad Dog" to explain his alleged stage directions. "It's not my place to suggest to him whether or not to accept a curtain call. It's upsetting to me. I've been kind of drawn into this."

Refusal to go on MMD = Mikes doghouse.
