The 4th

Well, no real surprises yesterday. Mets made the collective fan base turn the game off by the 4th and the Yanks won a well pitched, efficient game. ARod went Arod and Mo went Mo on the Jays. Nothing shocking. I was thinking, however...

- Do you think Toronto's in town for a little more pro-American sentiment? Not that it's needed but maybe, right?
- Will Ronan Tynan be a part of the festivities today? If so, I mean, can't they find, you know, like an American to do it?

Anyway, as a patriot, I am a little embarrassed to admit that I am rooting for Kobayashi to win back his crown and Federer to topple Sampras tomorrow. I know, I know but I can't help it.

Happy 4th and be safe kids.

Happy 4th of July to all!

The thing that bothered me most about the Met game is not the loss. Not the bad defense or lack of hitting or the trapped ball in the outfield. It was the fact that Philly has'nt been playing well and if they continued to play other major league teams we had a chance at matching them loss for loss.

The Phillies are going to look very World Champion like this weekend.

Back to the Nathans contest!

The gluttony...It's just so perfect. 1 minute in and they have like 7 down. Chestnut and Kobayashi. This is great.

The announcer just likened this "competition" to Lakers v Celtics and Borg v Conners. Seems a stretch, no?

Well, I believe in God and the only thing that scares me is Kaiser Soze.

Officially a new movie slant. Nice work.

That hot dog contest is bunk. They should have to eat them just like a normal person, non of that splitting the dog in half and dunking the bun in water.

And they should have to have at least 2 condiments, one of either A0ketchup or B) mustard AND either A) sourkraut B)onions or C) relish.

In the event of a tie, chilidog overtime.

Just got back from the Yankee game. I had to leave after the 9th ended because of work tonight, but it was still an exciting game. Nice to see the Yankees jump all over Halladay.

I check out the eating contests every once in a while.

The american champ, the big fat black dude....he has the record for MAYO eating. He eat A GALLON of mayo once. A GALLON!! Just mayo.

The only thing worse I've ever seen was when some dumb female, for a lousy $50 allowed herself to have her head shaved........which they promptly mixed with mayo and she had to EAT it!!!!

I can say I hate her more than I hate mike.

Speaking of Mike.....

I bet he could hold his own in one of these eating contests. I mean he did'nt get his incredible physique by being an onlooker at Nathans.

It could make for a funny call if someone calls in and asks his opinion on the Chestnut vs. Kobayashi battle.
