None of this idiot big leaguers use 2 hands. And you know what? You don't even have to physically use the 2nd hand like a how-to video shows. Just having it up gives you the chance to then catch the drop with it...

...Sounds pretty good to me.

And you don't need 2 hands to catch that. You just need to close the glove.

Awesomesean isn't very awesome. That statement was a knife in the heart.

Evan Roberts just said it: The mets won that game.

Fucking Luis Castillo. Just like his namesake Jose Luis Castillo against Diego Coralles.

KBilly...Bout time someone brought boxing to this blog. Goodness knows, the Big Fella thinks it was banned in all 50 states ten years ago.

As brutal as that game was last night, it's worse today. Missed on opportunity to gain ground on the Phils and left the door open for a sweep when it was a real possibility that the Mets would sweep. Dark day for a Mets fan and the Big Fella will be insufferable if the Yanks win all 3.

I haven't laughed this hard in a long time.

The good news is that I live in NC so I didn't get to see the game last night. I was listening on XM, but unfortunately XM chose Susan and Sterling. So I turned it off in favor of the Pens/Wings finale.

The bad news is that the next two games will be on national TV. Fox today and TBS tomorrow, so I will have to watch.

One positive from the game...? Mike's nemesis David Wright came through in a big spot. That of course will get lost in the aftermath of the flub.

A possible scenario - The Mets win the next two and yet all Mike will talk about was the loss on Friday. Another scenario? Mets get swept and Mike starts talking about Manuel as dead man walking(which is fine by me). Another scenario? Pettitte hits David Wright in the head. Omar fires the hitting coach and Jerry Manuel and negotiates with Chiba Lotte to free Bobby V from the remainder of his contract.

Momentum is tomorrow's starting pitcher. And apparently, the Yankees don't have much of that.

Subways Series Style points:
Yankees - 10
Mets - 1

'09 Subway Series record:
Yankees - 1
Mets - 1

Oh. And Johan pitches tomorrow.

At least Mike was right that the Yankees don't do well against pitchers they haven't seen.
