ROUND MOUNDS

As I glance at the Fan website, it states that Charles Barkley will be Mike Francesa's guest at 2:30. Although I have listened to MMD over the years, I can't recall Mike and Chris' opinion of the Round Mound of Rebound. Considering Barks is known for running his mouth, I can't imagine they had much nice to say. Mike and Chris usually don't like people who talk as much as them...

"Could ya please Charles, just pipe down and stick to basketball. The whole idea that the people of Alabama are going to vote for him as Governor..."
"Dog, I'm not a big believer in athletes running for political office. I'll give you Gerald Ford, Reagan and Largent but Sir Charles..."

...I'm wondering what exactly has prompted this visit by Barkley. Is this about politics? Is Charles selling a grill? Either way, it should make for appointment listening. Speaking of which, I have an appointment at 2:30, so I will miss this. Enjoy.

Have you ever listened to this show? Mike LOVES Charles Barkley. Letting him go off on random topics is just want Mike wants. Charles is always entertaining to listen to and he always has an opinion on something. I'm definitely looking forward to this interview...

I must have missed the Barkley appearances. Sounds like fun. And Loki, I've been listening to the show since its inception. I think you were alive, but you most definitely were not listening for the first 10 years of your life.

I actually started listening in 2003, but that is still long enough to realize that Charles Barkley is a quality guest.

Did anyone else sense a really depressing tone from the Torre interview? It wasn't Mike at all, but Torre seemed really down...maybe it's the weather.

Torre seemed tired and perhaps a bit down which was suprising, especially considering his big Gala is tommorow night

Great, two fat pompous slobs in one room.

Maybe "Charles" can spit on Mike....

And Mike wouldn't do a damn thing...

i happened to catch some of that interview and i think you should post about how ignorant francesa thinks we are. he said to charles that he thought he overstepped his bounds when he said what he said about isiah thomas alluding to him trying to kill himself. barkley never said a word about it until francesa brought it up and barkley said he was sorry and he was wrong in that instance, after he said how sorry he was, mike goes "ok well good job bringing it up charles, its good to see you knew you were in the wrong and are apologetic" and he meant it, he wasnt saying it mocking him for not bringing it up. how dumb is this man or how dumb does he think we are listening to him??? i hate barkley and god help alabama if he ever has any bit of a chance of governing them

Charles put to rest, and made Mike seem stoopid (hard to do?), the "Obama's going to take all your stuff" argument for all the Reagan Democrats morons listening.

Check out my blog. Olbermann has Francesa as one of his "Worst Person's in the World" pretty funny Video.

great job, Brooklyn Mutt. I wish KO would have slammed him a little more about the decision to air the clip, but Olbermann comes off more mad that NBC lost the feed. As far as worst person in the world, it's a tie between MF and KO.

Thanks GMAN, I love your blog but I am a big KO fan. But I don't wanna mix sports and politics because I am smart enough to know that there is plenty I don't know. Unlike our friend MF.

Keith is the man! I always catch his show Countdown, but last night I only caught the end of Worst Persons, but did see Francesa's face on the screen.

Keith did not exceedingly slam him because both of them work on NBC on Sunday nights covering sports.

KO has done a great job on air. But off air, he is a miserable person. At least he used to be, when I worked at the same company as him. So I'm separating the two personas, hence the comparison to the soulless MF. KO has a soul, it's just not very kind.
