Francesa's Lineup

Does Mike realize that he is not the skipper of the Yankees? I have just listened to 5 minutes too much of the big man pontificating about how he would set the Yankees batting order..."I don't want Gardner at the top...I'm gonna challenge Cano and put him in the cleanup spot.." If there is anything worse than listening to Mike use nicknames like "Mr. T", it would be hearing him morph into Coach speak. We've all heard him espouse the virtues of playing Cover 2 vs Cover 3 and we've endured countless "I would play pick and roll" conversations, but for some reason, today's 5 minute session of Francesa setting his Yankees lineup has driven me batty. Mikey wants Cano hitting cleanup. I mean, forget the fact that after last season, Francesa had Cano's bags packed just as fast as David Wrights. That's just a simple case of what I like to call Francesa Amnesia (Remember his words to CC a couple months ago "GET LOST!!!") But if I have to listen to him alert the audience that he is going to "present" this idea to Girardi today for one more minute, I am going to lose it..

Now he is being rude to callers that don't agree with his lineup? Is he kidding??

yeah and he just told a caller doubting Cano's talent to expand their horizons and anticipate what a player can further become...hmm, weird how that doesn't seem to apply to david wright or Jose Reyes...

I think Mikes rudeness has recently gotten worse.

I can't imagine any company allowing their customers/clients to be treated so poorly by one of their employees. Is'nt Mike considered an employee of the FAN? Are'nt his callers basically like a customer/client?

Mike is really "mentally masturbating" over his Yankee lineup and is sounding like he "will tell" Girardi to make these changes rather than discuss it with him.

It must be great to be Mike and to live in his world.

BTW-- Framnesia is great and very fitting.

the only thing he can expand is his waist line, and what is this "reset, empty trips" stuff. He he goes, like he is showing that he knows inside coaches lingo.

HERE he goes

I've been saying this for a little while...the rudeness he is displaying towards the callers will eventually be his undoing. You can't underestimate how much Russo mitigated the seething anger that Francesa has for all people. Now that he's gone, Mike is on an island.

But in fairness, I think some of the callers like the whole idea of calling up and getting ripped by Mike.

You know something. He's just a miserable person. And he's been worse since Dog left. He has no one to debate his stances.

I don't know GMan...There are just too many callers out there that really listen to Mike. Really respect his opinions. Plus, most of the callers that get cut off/dismissed deserve it. Except M from M, of course. He gets carte blanche for some reason.

Nice to see the number of Anonymous posts dwindling. Why does Mike think we should expand our horizons on Cano, but ship Wright and Reyes out the door? Does he know he contradicts himself? Does Mike surround himself with butt kissers and yes-men that no one will tell him he doing a terrible job? Mike, if you ever read this, stop being such a dick to callers that disagree with you. Try debating them instead of hand waving them off.

The reason he wants Reyes and Wright off the Mets is because he knows damn well the the Yanks would go out and buy them as soon as they could! And Mike would instantly love them as Yanks! Its so annoying!

Mike should be more concerned with who stays healthy at this point then knit-picking the lineup.

If you guys all hate Mike then why do you listen to him?

I really don't get it.

Wow...I just found this log, and I crackede up when I read your opening line: "Does Mike realize that he is not the skipper of the Yankees?" I watch/listen to him with disbelief sometimes. I've actually seen him get into a screaming match with a caller...full out screaming.
I guess it's kinda like the "car crash" analogy...on one hand you listen because he knows some stuff, on the other hand you listen becuase something might explode!
